Extending the 4-position sulfur substituent by one carbon over the methyl parent already introduces signs of physical toxicity, and longer chains grow physically harder still, leaving mainly euphoria. Exploration of this series is best pursued either with the shortest chain, for psychedelic effect, or with much longer chains, as a merely pleasant, feel-good agent.
