Also known as 3,4,5-TRIMETHOXYAMPHETAMINE

This was the first fully synthetic psychedelic phenethylamine documented as active in humans in any detail, reported from Canadian research in 1955. At 50 to 150 milligrams it produced giddiness, light-headedness, and striking flash-induced visual imagery, but at higher doses a persistent negative, potentially antisocial undertone crept in, which discouraged further medical study; it later drew military interest under a chemical-warfare code name.
