Half-lifeThe terminal elimination half-life of memantine ranges from 60 to 80 hours in humans. Following administration of a single oral dose of 10 mg/kg memantine in rats, the elimination half-life was 2.36 ± 0.20 hours. Following a single intravenous dose of 2 mg/kg in rats, the elimination half-life was 2.28 ± 0.48 hours. The terminal elimination half-life of memantine is approximately 60-80 hours.
